The Diploma of Business provides a sound foundation in the introductory aspects of business management with the flexibility to allow students to develop one or more specific areas of expertise within the overall area of business studies. For example, students are able to pursue specialist business management qualifications in Marketing, Human Resource Management or Economics. The broad subject selection also exposes students to a range of business disciplines and allows them to select a future course of study or career most suited to their individual skills and abilities.

The Diploma of Business also prepares candidates for the self-directed application of skills and knowledge based on the fundamental principles of business. The overall outcome will be a broad understanding of contemporary business practices, which can be applied within a variety of entry level positions in both public and private sectors.
